Omeprazole, is a medication used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger–Ellison syndrome. It is also used to prevent upper gastrointestinal bleeding in people who are at high risk.
Omeprazole oral capsule is a prescription drug that’s only available in a generic form. It doesn’t have a brand-name version. Omeprazole is also available as an oral suspension and comes as an over-the-counter (OTC) medication.
